About Disability Talk
Disability Talk was founded by two people who between them cover both sides of great support — the human side and the accountable side. That combination is what makes us different.
Our story
Disability Talk grew out of a simple frustration: too many participants were falling through the cracks between providers, systems and funding streams. Support coordinators were chasing five different organisations. Families were repeating the same story over and over. Workers were burning out because nobody was looking after them.
Christine and James set out to build something different — a provider that treats participants as people, not plan numbers; that looks after its workers so they can look after the people they support; and that makes it genuinely easy for referrers to hand over with confidence.
Today Disability Talk covers NDIS, Allied Health, DVA and Aged Care under one roof, from our base in West Melbourne. We partner with organisations like Good Shepherd to reach further — including the No Interest Loan Scheme for people who need a hand beyond their plan.

Meet the founders
Christine
Co-founder & Director — Care & Operations
Christine brings more than 30 years of experience across nursing, disability, aged care and community health. She has worked in outreach and homelessness, built support teams from the ground up, and spent her career finding practical ways to help people live life on their own terms.
Her approach is warm, direct and deeply practical. She knows the sector inside out — the funding systems, the gaps, the moments where a good coordinator or a reliable support worker makes all the difference. Christine leads the care and operations side of Disability Talk, and is the reason participants and families feel genuinely looked after from day one.
James
Co-founder & Director — Compliance & Risk
James covers the compliance, insurance and risk side of Disability Talk — the infrastructure that makes sure every support we deliver is as safe and accountable as it is caring. He brings a background in business operations and risk management, and a clear-eyed view of what it takes to run a registered NDIS provider properly.
Where Christine leads with care, James leads with rigour. Together they make sure Disability Talk is a provider you can trust — not just because the people are good, but because the systems behind them are solid.
What we stand for
Every participant is a person, not a plan number. We take the time to understand what matters to them — and we build support around that.
We're a registered NDIS provider and we take that seriously. Clear communication, honest pricing, and no surprises.
We acknowledge every referral within one business day. We show up when we say we will. We keep you in the loop.
Good outcomes for participants depend on supported, valued workers. We look after both sides of the support relationship.
NDIS, Allied Health, DVA and Aged Care under one roof — so referrers can hand over once and know everything is covered.
We partner with organisations like Good Shepherd to reach further — from meal support to NILS loans for people who need a hand beyond their plan.
Whether you're a support coordinator, a GP, a hospital team, a participant or a family member — we're easy to reach and happy to help.
