Allied health shouldn't feel like a separate world from your everyday support. We coordinate both so nothing falls through the gap.
Allied Health services help participants build functional capacity, manage health conditions, and achieve greater independence. Disability Talk coordinates allied health alongside your other supports — so your therapists and support workers are on the same page.
Allied Health services are available to NDIS participants with Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living funding, as well as participants funded through DVA or Aged Care packages.
Allied Health is typically funded from your Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living budget in an NDIS plan.
Occupational Therapy
Assessment and support for daily living skills, home modifications, assistive technology, and functional capacity evaluations for NDIS plans.
Physiotherapy
Movement, strength, pain management and rehabilitation — helping participants stay mobile, safe and as independent as possible.
Speech Pathology
Communication support, swallowing assessments, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) and social skills development.
Psychology and Behaviour Support
Positive behaviour support, mental health support, and therapeutic interventions delivered by registered practitioners.
Dietetics and Nutrition
Nutritional assessment and support for participants with complex dietary needs, feeding difficulties or health conditions.
We'll coordinate the right therapists and make sure they work alongside your support team.
