NDIS Direct Support covers the hands-on, day-to-day assistance that helps participants live independently, stay connected to their community, and work toward their goals. At Disability Talk, we take the matching process seriously — because consistency and trust matter.

Who is it for?

NDIS Direct Support is for participants with Core Supports funding in their NDIS plan. It suits people who need regular assistance with daily life, community participation or skill development.

How it's funded

Direct support is funded from your Core Supports — Assistance with Daily Life or Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation budgets.

What our support workers help with

  • Daily living activities

    Assistance with personal care, grooming, meal preparation, medication prompts and household tasks — tailored to your level of independence.

  • Community access

    Getting out and about — appointments, social activities, shopping, recreation — with a support worker who knows you and your preferences.

  • Skill building

    Working toward greater independence in cooking, budgeting, transport, communication or whatever goals matter most to you.

  • Social and recreational support

    Staying connected — whether that's a regular outing, a hobby, a community group or just time with friends and family.

  • Overnight and high-intensity support

    For participants who need support outside standard hours or who have complex health needs requiring trained workers.
